 In The Weave

Persian NAHVANAD (240 x 148cm) Made with pure hand spun Kork (Neck) Wool pile and foundation from the Iranian Fat tailed sheep and 100% natural dyes by tribal weavers occupying the migratory routes of the Fars Provence of southwest of Iran. The carpet consists of a central quadrilateral polygonal medallion decoration to the central field with sporadically placed floret motifs used throughout both the inner and outer fields. Instantly identifiable as a Tribal  Persian NAHVANAD weaving by its distinctly playful design and sporadic use of warm sapphire blue colour tones.
