I love this shop, I've been visiting as a customers for many years now and have bought many great rugs from this place - the stock is forever changing. Tim the owner clearly puts in lots of effort into bringing back some really special rugs and provides excellent information on the origins of his stock.
This place has a really good selection and some very lovely rugs to choose from. We bought two and will be returning soon when we get onto doing the rest of the house, well worth the trip out and would highly recommend to anyone else.
After having searched for 18 months in UK and on foreign websites we visited The Weave Rug Company, Bollington. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic on origins and production methods. Also offered to find us what we wanted if they hadn't already got it in stock. Found one we really liked and were able to see it in situ at home before purchase. What we we have purchased looks great (many positive comments) and is really well hand made in India
If you are looking for gorgeous Persian rugs or one-off pieces of beautifully carved furniture, The Weave is definitely where you need to go. The collection is curated, with each piece individually chosen for artistry and quality by the proprietor, Tim, and it really shows. Tim is incredibly knowledgeable, knows the stock inside out and offers very good advice along with fair prices. Highly recommended.
Absolutely brilliant shop and service they've lots of rugs and runners to choose from, without a doubt the best collection of Persian rugs that I've ever seen - I have no hesitation in highly recommending this shop.
I bought 2 rugs and a runner on-line, all three turned up together in few days. The rugs have transformed my flat and look great, they receive lots really positive comments.
We saw The Weave trading at Grand Designs live at the NEC last year and bought a large wool and silk handmade designer rug at the show, it was delivered to our home within a few days of the show finishing, its looks stunning and everyone who sees it loves it too, happily recommend this place.
We've been looking for a nice rug for several months and after visiting various other shops in the area we can definitely say this shop offers the best collection. The owner even allowed us to take a few rugs away to try insitu which we found to be both trusting and very helpful. No problem in recommending this shop as a good place to go for something special.
It is always a pleasure to visit the Weave as the Tim's (the owner) passion, enthusiasm and expertise regarding oriental carpets is lovely to hear. There is no hard sell, just an informed discussion about the carpets of interest, regarding the history of the design, its influences and the place of weaving. We were able to take several home and try them in situ before making any decisions. In addition to buying a rug, I have taken an antique rug in to be identified, cleaned and repaired. I received a written summary on its age, source and method of manufacture- as well as a very nicely repaired rug. I will definitely be back!
I have bought two rugs from the Weave and been very impressed both with the wide choice of high quality rugs that they stock, and most importantly, with the depth of knowledge that the owner Tim has of oriental rugs. He can provide you with details of the geographical area that the rugs come from and the history of the patterns, materials and construction styles. I can highly recommend this retailer
