After a happy and successful 12 years of trading from the lovely Clarence Mill showroom, it’s now time to say our final goodbyes.
Although I find goodbyes quite sad and so instead, I’d like to say a big and cheerful HELLO to our new and exciting shop premises in the beautiful silk weaving heritage village of Prestbury, Cheshire, just a few miles from our place and easily found in the centre of the village just 10/15-minute drive from Wilmslow, 10 minutes from Alderley Edge and 5 minutes from Macclesfield.
The new location, full of character, occupies an interesting old school building dating back to 1751, donated as gift at the time to educate the 10 poorest children of the village. Our main retail area is what used to be the old school hall. Visiting our new shop, you’ll find it well stocked with lots of new and exciting rugs sourced from our recent buying trips in Turkey, Morocco, and India. The shop is very east to find in the centre of village with various nearby parking options doted all around the village. As always, we welcome all types of visitors to the shop, rug enthusiasts, general browsers, or anyone else with a general interest in handmade made rugs and tribal art textiles.
